New Book – Nightmare Pipeline Failures

The Energy Pipelines CRC team have set a high benchmark for themselves with the release of a second new book coinciding with their arrival in PCPM. Nightmare Pipeline Failures: Fantasy Planning, Black Swans and Integrity Management by Jan Hayes and Andrew Hopkins details the organisational safety lessons from two major pipeline failures in the US in 2010. The work has received a great deal of interest in Australia and the US with features appearing in / in press for Utility magazine, the TDWilliamson publication Innovations, the National Safety Council magazine, the journal of the Safety Institute of Australia and Process Safety Progress (the journal of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers).Hopkins details the organisational safety lessons from two major pipeline failures in the US in 2010.
