RMIT PCPM Bachelor of Applied Science (Project Management) student Jessica Borg has won the 2015 PMI Women in Project Management Scholarship.
The scholarship is awarded by the Project Management Institute’s (PMI) Melbourne Chapter and Paxus to support gender diversity within the project management profession. The scholarship was open to all women involved with project management. Jessica won the award from a large field of high quality applicants. Jessica is an outstanding Project Management student who has earned High Distinction grades in all her courses, giving her the maximum possible Grade Point Average (GPA) of 4.
The PMI Melbourne Chapter proudly supports gender diversity initiatives and Women in Project Management. In 2013, a three year strategic partnership was established with the Victorian ICT Network for Women. Members of PMI Melbourne chapter are eligible to attend all Victorian ICT Network for Women initiatives at member prices. In addition to monthly networking and career planning events, this partnership offers free mentoring and discounted professional development opportunities for Women in Project Management.
The Project Management Institute (PMI) is one of the major international accrediting bodies of our Project Management degrees at RMIT. We are fortunate that PMI has partnered with the School of Property, Construction and Project Management in a number of endeavours, and supports our Project Management students both inside and outside the classroom.
