School of Property, Construction & Project Management

Immediate past CIOB President Ghassan Aouad was hosted by the School in late July. Deputy Heads and Program Managers met with Ghassan and Maricel Cavestany to talk about a much closer relationship in the future between industry and academia to improve the student experience. Importantly Brendan Sweeney Construction Manager from Brookefield Multiplex and Chair of NOVUS also visited and explained the student mentoring and networking activities of CIOB NOVUS. He also explained the role that CIOB has had in his working life and the opportunities he has been provided by the international professional association as he has moved countries. RMIT’s undergraduate construction management program is currently accredited by CIOB and the School is looking to add their international and postgraduate offerings to their suite of programs internationally accredited.
