School of Property, Construction & Project Management
The School of Property, Construction and Project Management is pleased to announce a very important sub-theme to our 2017 International Women’s Day event – “Male Champions of Change”.
What are the ‘Male Champions of Change’?
“In April 2010, Commissioner Broderick was instrumental in bringing together some of Australia’s most influential and diverse male CEOs and Chairpersons to form the Male Champions of Change group. The group aims to use their individual and collective influence and commitment to ensure the issue of women’s representation in leadership is elevated on the national business agenda.” – Human Rights Commission, Male Champions of Change (http://www.humanrights.gov.au/our-work/sex-discrimination/projects/male-champions-change)

How does this relate to the Women Building Futures event?
We are looking to our “Male Champions of Change” to be part of the event and share their stories. Not necessarily men that are part of the official group mentioned above – but those that embody the essence of the movement – men in our industries that are instrumental in supporting Women in their industry. If this is you we would love to hear from you! Also educating our up and coming male generations about how they can be instrumental in this movement and how this is a relevant issue for them as well.
How can I get involved?
We are calling for men and women alumni and current students to share their stories: Click here to share your story – we are hoping to post as many of these stories as possible in the lead up to the event and inspire others with your stories.
Sponsor the show bags – contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to supply marketing gifts and materials for the show bags that will go to current students at RMIT Property, Construction and Project Management and high school students attending.
